Planning GEO Across China & International Markets
Markets differ in language, channels and buying habits. Existing Chinese content provides material but should not simply be translated and reused. Replan around how customers ask, verify and initiate business.

1. Define Markets & Buyer Roles
Consumers care about delivery and returns, business buyers about specifications, certifications and supply, and channel partners about support. Select language and content tasks after defining the market and role.
2. Adapt Evidence as Well as Language
Check units, product names, support coverage and compliance wording. Show only genuine certifications, cases and permissions applicable to that market. Do not amplify Chinese promotional adjectives into international commitments.
3. Link Recommendations to Relevant Pages
Product information should lead to the same product in the same language. Explain required enquiry details and keep email or messaging options valid. State regional response hours in advance.
4. Record Markets Separately
Answers across languages and regions are not directly comparable. Keep question versions, environments and times, then analyze visibility and enquiry handling rather than judging everything from one screenshot.
5. A Practical Example
For exported home products, prepare specifications, materials, delivery coverage and support terms, with product-specific enquiry forms. Business buyers also need supply capacity, customization and documentation. Shared language does not mean shared needs; content must reflect the role.
